After getting laid off from my corporate job back in 2016, I was feeling unfulfilled and was ready to hit reset on my life. A year later, I sold all of my belongings, bought a one-way ticket to SE Asia and set off on an adventure of a lifetime.  

 

During my research, I didn’t see or hear stories from seasoned, professional women of color traveling and living abroad. That’s when I decided to share my own story and Chronicles Abroad was born. A podcast that helped inspire others to create their own reality by sharing the stories of mature professionals over 35 paving their own way in life and in business.

 

Two years of podcasting and traveling the world. I landed in Mexico and fell in love. In July of 2020, in the midst of the pandemic I created a space for melanated travelers to come to the beautiful town of Tulum, MX and connect where the jungle meets the sea. Now, I am the CEO of Black In Travel, a travel company for melanated professionals looking for one of a kind experiences abroad.
